Nina Echevarria

CEO/Founder

My story began in the Bronx, a place that instilled in me a deep sense of community and determination. Art quickly became my passion, leading me to study at prestigious places like Alvin Ailey Dance School, School of Visual Arts, and Art and Design High School. After graduating from Wood Tobé–Coburn School for Fashion Careers, I spent 25+ impactful years in the fashion industry as a creative designer.

During this time, I gained extensive experience designing for Mass, Mid-tier, Specialty, and Off-price stores, managing diverse product categories from initial concept to final production. My expertise spans the entire fashion pipeline, including design, manufacturing, sales, and direct engagement with buyers, factories, mills, and retailers.

This rich background now fuels Meli Micah Design Studio. My mission is to provide a nurturing, creative environment for young people (ages 12–21) to discover their potential, learn the intricacies of design and business, and confidently step into their futures. Meli Micah is more than a studio; it’s a vibrant community where creativity flourishes and dreams become reality. I’m here to help you believe in your aspirations and bring them to life. I look forward to being part of your journey. Let’s build something powerful together!
